National Kids to Parks Day at Great Falls Tavern

What did people wear on the C&O Canal? How do you make art with the sun? What’s in our drinking water? Join the C&O Canal NHP staff and the C&O Canal Trust for a variety of fun activities!

 

Visitors of all ages can try on period clothing, meet the park’s mules, do arts and crafts, play some games, and discover new ways to explore the park's amazing natural and cultural resources.

 

There will be a guided hike to the Great Falls Overlook which leaves from the Tavern at 1:00pm.

 

The activities will be held around the Great Falls Tavern from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
