Sand Creek Massacre NHS Education series continues with an evening with Barbara Sutteer (Cherokee/Ute). Barbara is retired from the National Park Service and established the Office American Indian Trust Responsibility for the NPS Intermountain Region-Denver. In this role, she was actively involved in the Sand Creek Massacre site location study. Previously to her NPS employment, she worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Federal Aviation Administration. Her first NPS assignment was as superintendent of Little Bighorn National Monument during the park's name change.
