Description

Join a ranger for a short presentation and learn about what animals do during the winter (hibernation, migration, adaptation). After the presentation we will go on a short hike in Miller Woods trail and come back to the Douglas center to do a winter art craft. Enjoy this family friendly exploration at Indiana Dunes National Park.

This program will be in Spanish and in English. The presentation in Spanish will be from 1:15 pm–1:30 pm. The English presentation will be from 2:00 pm–2:15 pm. A short ranger-led hike in Miller Woods from 2:30 pm–2:45 pm will take place in both Spanish and English. We’ll search for signs of animals preparing for the winter. Afterwards, warm up inside the Douglas Center with a hot beverage while the kids do a winter craft from 2:45 pm–3:15 pm.
