Gates will open at 6:30am. Sunrise program at Kin Kletso will begin just before sunrise; Kin Kletso is a 1/3 mile walk from the Pueblo del Arroyo parking lot. The sun rises at 7:18am.
Description
Join park rangers to observe the alignment of the winter solstice sunrise at Kin Kletso. Gates will open at 6:30am. Prior to the gate opening, please park in the visitor center parking lots (employee lot behind the VC and/or the main VC lot) to keep the road clear. Once the gate opens, park rangers will direct traffic to the Pueblo del Arroyo parking lot, and Pueblo Bonito parking lot if/when the Pueblo del Arroyo parking lot fills up. The ranger will meet visitors at Kin Kletso. Please follow instructions on where to stand to observe the alignment. A brief ranger talk will occur just before sunrise.
