The Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center Discovery Space is open for visitors to participate in self-directed, hands-on activities related to the canal.
During May, our theme is Invasive Plants!! 🌿🌾🌱
Learn what an invasive plant is and how they impact food webs. Play a board game to find out what it takes to successfully invade a new ecosystem. Discover the strategies land managers use to control invasive plants and learn about common invasive plants in the region.
Come visit the Discovery Space at the Great Falls Taven during the month of May to participate in activities. The Discovery Space is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
