Description

Love the Johnson City Settlement? So do we! Come lend a hand to your public land on September 18th by volunteering a few hours at the Settlement Restoration Project. From 8AM - 11AM we will be removing invasive and exotic species in riparian zones to improve the health of this ecosystem. All volunteers will receive a one-day free entrance pass to public lands!

No prior experience is needed except for a desire to spend some time outside, make a difference in the native landscape, and maybe even learn something new! Tools will be provided, please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. From 11AM - 3PM we will be making eco-friendly crafts in the air-conditioned Event Center.

Directions: Parking is available at the Visitor Center of Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park in Johnson City. Follow the brown trail signs down the sidewalk to the Settlement Trail. When you cross over the small bridge you will find a table where you can sign up as a volunteer. Hope to see you there!
