Description

Join National Park Service Naturalist Jerry Hightower for a program on the beloved and the very successful turtle. Turtles have been around for millions of years of changes on our planet, but its success might be running out. Enjoy this fascinating program as the day ends and sunset approaches. Discover new facts about the wildlife of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area with an exciting program on turtles of the Chattahoochee River corridor and beyond. You are invited to bring your own marshmallows if you like to roast marshmallows over the campfire. We will provide roasting forks. Join us and enjoy the ambiance, and beauty of twilight on the Chattahoochee. You are welcome to come early and bring a picnic dinner. After the program you are invited to join us on a short walk on the Three Forks Loop Trail.

Reservations: Limited spaces (80) and reservations are requested. Call 678-538-1245. Please leave your name, telephone number, and the number of people attending. Programs are cancelled if the minimum number of registrations are not reached by the close of business the night before the program. Persons registered will be notified of cancellations. Programs are cancelled if thunder is present. Thank you.
