Volunteers Needed for Park Day 2025

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Shiloh National Military Park is excited to announce its participation in the American Battlefield Trust’s annual Park Day event. This is a wonderful opportunity for community members and park enthusiasts to come together and help prepare the park for the busy summer season. 

This year, our efforts will focus on cleaning up the park’s highway areas and enhancing the picnic facilities. Volunteers will assist in removing trash from ditches along the highway and repainting picnic tables at the picnic shelter located in Sowell Field. 

Event Details:     Date: Saturday, April 26, 2025                   
                           Time: Volunteers are asked to meet at 9:00 a.m.                   
                           Location: Picnic shelter on Highway 22, Shiloh National Military Park 

What to Bring:    Dress appropriately for outdoor work                   
                            Sunscreen and insect repellent                   
                            Plenty of water to stay hydrated 

The workday is expected to conclude by 12:00 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled to Saturday, May 3, 2025.
