Description

Join National Park Service Naturalist Jerry Hightower for a campfire, program, guided walk and a beautiful summer day coming to an end. Discover new facts about the plants of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area during a program on the historic uses of plants for food, medicine, and pigments. We will make Blueberry Ink and you can write and draw using twig pens, feathers, and brushes. We will also create works of art using mud from the wetlands. Create your own mud painting! You are invited to bring your own marshmallows if you would like to roast marshmallows over the campfire. We will provide roasting forks. Join us and enjoy the ambiance and beauty of twilight on the Chattahoochee. You are welcome to come early and bring a picnic dinner. After the program you are invited to join us on a short walk on the Three Forks Loop Trail.
