Description

On Saturday August 1st, at 11:00am PST, the SF Public Library and the National Park Service will host a virtual film showing. Join the Director/Producer Adrian Baker, Director of Animation/Producer Tane Ross and Producer Manny Lieras as they discuss and show Injunuity.

Injunuity creates Native American animated short films covering such topics as language preservation, sacred sites, and the environment. For this event, the Injunuity team will screen films about the California mission system, food sovereignty, and Native American boarding schools with an opportunity for audience Q & A. The event is free and will last 90 minutes.

This event is part of the 2nd Saturday, Cultural Programs taking place on Alcatraz and virtually for 19 months in commemoration of the All Tribes Occupation on Alcatraz in 1969.
