Did you know that the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) helped to restore Hopewell Furnace in the 1930s? Learn more about the role of the CCC at Hopewell and the organization's impact on the country during the Great Depression. Reenactors portraying the CCC will offer programs and demonstrations:

  • Learn how the men of the CCC might have lived at Hopewell Furnace at a recreation barrack scene
  • Check out an original 1930s CCC truck
  • Try your hand at a log sawing activity and have your own wooden medallion branded with the CCC logo at the Blacksmith Shop
  • Complete a special CCC Junior Ranger book and earn a Hopewell Furnace CCC Junior Ranger patch!
