Experience the Night Sky at El Morro National Monument
Stargaze with rangers at the El Morro Visitor Center. El Morro National Monument is a certified International Dark Sky Park that is located on Highway 53 near Ramah, NM, around 1 hour southwest of Grants.
Directions to El Morro Visitor Center from El Malpais Visitor Center: Get on Interstate 40 West for about 4 miles. Take exit 81 for San Rafael/Milan. Turn left onto Highway 53, and drive for about 40 miles. Between mile marker 45 and 44, you will see signs for the El Morro. Turn left onto the entrance road and follow the signs for the Visitor Center. You will see a parking lot, the Visitor Center, and restrooms. Find a place to park for the program!
