On August 6th, 1945, thousands of people were left devastated by the dropping of the atomic bombs on Japan as part of the efforts to end WWII.

Throughout the month of August, all are welcome to participate in the “Paper Crane for Peace” initiative. A table is set up in the Visitor Center with supplies needed to fold paper cranes. Let us come together and fold a thousand paper cranes which will be sent to the Children’s Peace Memorial in Hiroshima Japan.

The Visitor Center is open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 4pm. We hope to see you there!
