Skills and Trades of the Encampment

Where: Muhlenberg's Brigade (Tour Stop 2)
The Living History Society of New Jersey will demonstrate different trades reflected in the skill sets and knowledge of the general soldiery and followers of the army encamped at Valley Forge.
Learn about the construction of overalls and uniforms, mending soldier’s clothing, leatherworking such as creation of cartridge boxes, shoes, harness and tack for horses, and carpentry, including the creation of crates and other wood products, and the sewing of [market] wallets and women’s clothing.

This event is free to attend.
Location
The Living History Society of New Jersey will be at the log huts at Muhlenberg's Brigade between 10am and 4pm. In case of inclement weather, the program will move inside the Visitor Center at Valley Forge.
