9:00 am-   Acoma Artist demonstrations featuring:

5:00 pm     The family of Sharlynn Sanchez, a traditional potter from Acoma Pueblo &

                 The family of Barnett Garcia, a potter and beadworker

                 Located at the visitor center, both artists will be demonstrating their art techniques.

                 Their art will be available for purchase.

 

 

5:55 am     Summer Sunrise Equinox Program with music by Barnett Garcia from Acoma Pueblo

                 Open to only the first 100 people!

Experience likely Chacoan alignments with the sunrise.
Meet at the park gate.Gates open at 5:00 am, sunrise occurs at 5:55am.

 

6:30 am     Indigenous perspectives program at Casa Rinconada (45 minutes)

 

8:30 am         Pueblo Bonito walk with Sharlynn Sanchez from Acoma Pueblo (60 minutes)

Meet at the Pueblo Bonito parking lot

 

10:00am   Pueblo Del Arroyo walk (45 minutes)

                Meet at the Pueblo Del Arroyo parking lot              

 

11:30 am  Una Vida walk (45 minutes)

                Meet at the visitor center parking lot

 

2:00 pm    Fajada Butte talk with Jon Ghahate: Cultural Educator from Laguna & Zuni Pueblo (15-30 minutes)

                        Meet at the Fajada Butte shade structures located 1/2 mile east of the visitor center

 

3:30 pm    Hungo Pavi walk (45-60 minutes)

                Meet at the Hungo Pavi parking lot
