Description

On Friday, July 29 at 5 p.m., join the USS Constitution Museum in-person for A Conversation with History-Making Captains. USS Constitution CDR BJ Farrell and USCGC Eagle CAPT Jessica Rozzi-Ochs are both the first women in command of their respective ships. Eagle is the only active-duty sailing vessel in America’s military, and one of only two commissioned sailing vessels, along with USS Constitution. In addition to the significance of their historic positions, they will discuss sailing a tall ship, leadership, and share stories from their professional journeys.

USCGC Eagle is the flagship of the U.S. Coast Guard. It serves as a training vessel for cadets at the Coast Guard Academy and candidates from the Officer Candidate School.

USCGC Eagle will be berthed next to “Old Ironsides” from Friday, July 29-Monday, August 1. It will be open to visitors during its stay in Boston:
