9:00 am Artist Demonstration with Barnett Garcia from Acoma Pueblo
-5:00 pm Located at the visitor center, Barnett will be showing how Acoma pottery and beadwork is created. His art will be available for purchase.
10:00 am Pueblo Bonito Tour with Jon Ghahate: Cultural Educator from Laguna & Zuni Pueblo (1 hour)
11:30 am Music in Pueblo Bonito Plaza by Barnett Garcia from Acoma Pueblo (30 minutes)
Meet in the plaza at Pueblo Bonito
2:00 pm Museum Tour with Jon Ghahate: Cultural Educator from Laguna & Zuni Pueblo (20-30 minutes)
Meet at the visitor center
3:30 pm “Skywatchers in the Ancient Chacoan World” with Jon Ninnemann(45-60 minutes)
This presentation will take place in the visitor center auditorium.
Jon is a photogropher who has documented various summer/winter solstice events & the lunar standstill in 2006-2007
5:00 pm Una Vida walk with Jon Ghahate: Cultural Educator from Laguna & Zuni Pueblo (45-60 minutes)
Meet at the visito center
8:15 pm Orientation for the Summer Solstice Sunrise Program (15-20 minutes)
Meet at the observatory behind the visitor center for instructions on when and where to meet for the sunrise program
8:30 pm Night-Sky Program(90 minutes)
