Heroes Next Door: Calumet & The Great War

Discover local World War I soldiers, sailors, nurses, and the folks they left behind. Visit streetscapes they’d still recognize today while uncovering the stories of the heroes who helped connect the Copper Country to a global conflict.

Meet at the Calumet Visitor Center. Ranger programs last about one hour and cover approximately one mile. Accommodations available upon request. Water and sunscreen are recommended. In the event of inclement weather or unexpected events, programs will be modified or cancelled. Program topics subject to change based on staffing needs.
