Description
Did you know that since 1777 there have been 27 different versions of the American flag and countless variations? To celebrate the birthday of America and to commemorate the Civil War history at Rock Creek Park, join a park ranger for a program on the history of our flag. This 45-minute presentation will take place in the Planetarium at Rock Creek Park and will have a special focus on the evolution of the flag during the American Civil War and the presidency of Abraham Lincoln. Free tickets will be available at the Rock Creek Park Nature Center’s front desk on a first come, first served basis starting at 10:00am. Seating is limited.
