Description
Join National Park staff and Green Mountain Club volunteers on a hike along the Appalachian Trail! All hikes begin at the Billings Farm & Museum parking lot. A shuttle will bring you and the group to the trailhead, and pick you up to bring you back at the end of the hike. Bring plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, and hiking shoes.
Hike #2: Stage Rd to Pomfret Rd
Approximate duration including driving: 2.5 hours
Distance: ~2.4miles (.97 miles from Stage to Totman Rd. 1.79 miles from Stage to Bartlett Brook Rd.)
Elevation Change: 300’ up 200’ down
Trail Description: This is the most family friendly hike of this series. Trail begins by crossing a bridge over Barnard Brook. Section will end by crossing over the Pomfret Brook using a cable to walk on rocks or through the brook.
