Sunset Hike with a Ranger above the Clear Creek Gorge.
There is something about the serenity and beauty of a sunset over a rugged landscape that draws us closer to nature. Join our ranger on June 2nd for an easy/moderate hike of 1.5 miles total on the South Clear Creek Trail to enjoy nature's golden hour. The hike will include a spectacular overlook above the river gorge to watch the sunset while immersed in the sounds of a wild and scenic river!
Participants should meet at the Doc Howard Parking Area at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on June 2nd. The parking area is located along Doc Howard Road which is off of Ridge Road prior to crossing Lilly Bridge in Morgan County, Tennessee.
Please bring a headlamp or flashlight, a small cushion or blanket, and wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear, and bring water or snacks.

This event is free to attend.
Location
Meeting location for the hike will be Doc Howard Parking area. The parking area is located along Doc Howard Road which is off of Ridge Road prior to crossing Lilly Bridge in Morgan County, Tennessee. Watch for a wooden sign on the right side of Doc Howard Road that says "Parking"
