Backcountry Tour

Join park ranger Matt Salomon for a trip into the backcountry of Scotts Bluff National Monument. Visitors will need either a pickup or high clearance SUV to travel the canal road through the north side of the monument property. The backcountry tour is limited to 50 people and pre-registration is required. To register, please call the visitor center at 308-436-9700 and provide how many people will be in your group. Registration opens on Monday, July 8th. In the event of poor road conditions, an alternate program will be offered.

The Backcountry Tour will meet at the Scotts Bluff National Monument Visitor Center. The Visitor Center is located at 190276 Old Oregon Trail in Gering, Nebraska.
