Description

Join us for an evening lantern walk of the grounds of Oakland Plantation. This guided walking tour lead participants on an after-dark experience of the plantation grounds. Each participant carries a lantern as a park ranger guides the group on an outdoor tour of the grounds of historic Oakland Plantation. Visitors will learn of significant people and events in Oakland Plantation's history.

This FREE tour will start at 6:00 p.m. and last approximately 75 minutes. The tour is limited to 10 participants and registration is required. Call 318-352-0383, ext. 316 to sign up. The tour is entirely outdoors and will occur rain or shine. The tour will cover about 1/2 mile over uneven and unpaved ground. Participats are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and walking conditions. Oakland Plantation is located at 4386 Highway 494, Natchez, LA.
