A Tribute to Percy Green
Learn about lifelong activist Percy Green's bold and daring 1964 civil rights protest at the very spot where it happened just over 60 years ago. Meet the group at Luther Ely Smith Square and walk with Mr. Green to the north leg of the arch. Once the group arrives at the arch, Mr. Green will share his memories of his protest and talk about its lasting legacy. Percy Green will then move inside the Arch visitor center, where he will sign limited-edition posters that will available for free. This event is presented in partnership with the St. Louis African American Artifacts Festival and Bazaar.
