Description

As part of Salem Ancestry Days, Salem Maritime National Historic Site will have the Narbonne House, 71 Essex Street, open for visitors from 1 PM to 3 PM. See how oral history interviews and genealogical research has been used to better understand what the house has meant to centuries of residents.

In addition, you can meet Miss Mary Narbonne and hear about the house in the 19th century, and learn about the 20th century residents of the house while doing a paper cutting activity that would have been familiar to Mrs. Mary Hale, her daughters and granddaughters!

This program is free, and no reservations are required!
