Red Shawl Talk
According to the Department of Justice, American Indian and Alaska Native women are missing and murdered at a rate of more than 10 times the national average. Red Shawl Day is a time to bring attention to the horrible acts of violence committed against Indigenous people, particularly women and children. Throughout the week, people are encouraged to wear red as a symbol of the loss of sacred lifeblood through violence. Join Ranger Autumn as she gives a special talk about this issue.
Fees
The talk is free, although standard entrance fees apply. Holders of the America the Beautiful-Interagency Annual, Senior or Access Passes, and up to 3 companions, are admitted free.
