Flag Planting for Memorial Day

Friday, May 27th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

at the Chalmette National Cemetery

8606 West St. Bernard Highway, Chalmette, LA

Join us for our annual volunteer effort to place an American Flag on every headstone in Chalmette National Cemetery. Over 15,000 headstones will be honored throughout the Memorial Day Weekend.

Groups of all sizes are welcome to volunteer.

Please e-mail Grant Fletcher at grant_fletcher@partner.nps.gov to sign up.

We will also need help taking down and rolling flags on June 1st.
