Charlie Halloran is one of the more ubiquitous players on the New Orleans music scene. His trombone is heard up and down Frenchmen Street with trad jazz bands like the Panorama and Shotgun Jazz Bands, Meschiya Lake, and the Palmetto Bug Stompers, while his own group, the Tropicales, features energetic, Caribbean-flavored dance music. He’s a go-to bone player for artists ranging from Jon Cleary to Anders Osborne to the Squirrel Nut Zippers, and is heard throughout both the “NCIS: New Orleans” and “Treme” TV series.
