Youth Fishing Clinic

The Greater Currie Community Action Group, in partnership with the National Park Service, is hosting a Youth Fishing Clinic on Saturday August 29 from 10 am until 3 pm. This event will provide opportunities for youth and families of all ages and abilities to learn how to fish and drop a line in Moores Creek as well as to enjoy fun times outdoors. All fishing equipment, food and drinks will be provided for participants in the program.

In addition, numerous local partners will be setup and providing information and activities related to the important work they do. Partners include, Pender County Parks and Recreation, Pender County Library, Cape Fear Riverwatch, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and more. The Pender County Library will be offering a special storywalk at 1:00 pm that meets at the picnic shelter.

Whether this is your first time fishing or you simply want to drop a line and enjoy the tranquil nature of Moores Creek, this event offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and the community.

The program will take place in the park's fish camp which is next to Patriot's Hall.
