Description

Charles Young Buffalo Soldiers National Monument invites you to celebrate the life and legacy of Colonel Charles Young on Saturday, January 8th, 2022. Thanks to our partner and host, Central State University, we will gather to celebrate this true American hero at the Paul Robeson Auditorium on the campus of Central State.

We are excited and proud to present the event’s keynote speaker, Lieutenant General Xavier T. Brunson (USA), commanding general of America’s First Corps and Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state. Lieutenant General Brunson has over 31 years of military service in the United States Army and is a graduate of Hampton University, Webster University and the United States Army War College.

This special event is free & open to the public to attend.

COVID-19 precautions will be observed. Properly fitted face masks are required to be worn in order to attend the event.
