Description
On Halloween Eve of 1938, Orson Welles and “The Mercury Theater on the Air” spooked
the nation with a live radio play of “The War of the Worlds.” Join a ranger in History House to
learn about radio in the 1930’s as we listen to the original broadcast and see why Americans across
radio-land were convinced Martian invaders had attacked planet Earth! Ages 10 and up. May be
