Description

Fort Union Muzzleloaders, along with staff and other reenactors, transform into historical figures such as laborers, clerks, traders, and Métis women, fully immersing themselves in the roles they portray. These reenactors live within the reconstructed fort, offering visitors an authentic glimpse into the daily life and operations of Historic Fort Union. The reenactments bring to life the vibrant history of the fort, showcasing the diverse cultural interactions and bustling trade that once defined this key trading post.

While at Fort Union, guests are encouraged to explore the various sections of the fort, including the trade room, where goods were exchanged, and the bourgeois house, which served as the residence for the fort’s post manager. This immersive experience allows visitors to step back in time and witness the rich history of the region firsthand.
