Description
Each Saturday evening in May from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, various groups will play period music on the front lawn of the Visitor Center. Free event, bring your lawn chair or blanket to sit, listen and enjoy the period music.
Join us on May 4th to listen to the 399th Army Band Double Time Jazz Combo! The jazz combo is a versatile group that performs vocal and instrumental music in various styles of jazz. At 65 years of continuous service at its home of Fort Leonard Wood, the 399th Army Band has been on post longer than any other unit. The band was first activated over 75 years ago on 1 June 1944 as the 399 Army Service Forces Band in Naples, Italy.
If severe weather is pending check Facebook and the park website for cancellations. If cancelled, there will not be a make up date.
Remember this is an outdoor event so wear sunscreen and bug repellent for your safety. Dress for the weather.
