Join us for the 10th annual Black Canyon Astronomy Festival - June 26-29, 2019

Daily events:

Solar Viewing 

Drop into the South Rim Vistior Center to take a safe look at our closest star - the SUN! Weather permitting, solar telescopes will be on hand to view solar phenomena. Location: South Rim Visitor Center

Self-Guided Planet Walk

Stop by the visitor center to pick up the “Journey through Our Solar System” guide. Then, take a walk through outer space to discover more about our planetary neighbors. Location: South Rim Visitor Center

Night Sky Discovery Tables, Daily: 7:30-9:00pm

Make your own night sky chart, learn the constellations, make your flashlight night sky friendly, and discover the night sky through other fun activities! Come and go as you please. Location: South Rim Amphitheater

Evening Programs, 9 pm - 9:45 pm - Location: South Rim Amphitheater 

Night Sky Viewing with telescopes, 9:30 pm - 11:30 pm - Location: South Rim Campground
