Jerome Kills Small: Patriotic Songs and Stories of the Lakota

Pipestone National Monument

Special Event
  • Jul 1, 2023 at 12:00 PM
  • Free

In this program, Jerome tells of the stories of patriotic involvement in all the engagements of America in wartime since the Great War or World War I. He sings and tells the stories of the Lakota flag songs, victory songs, sneak-up, wounded warrior songs, veteran songs, honor songs, and memorial songs. The history kept in songs is important for future generations to remember our grandfathers’ contribution to freedom.

The program will take place in the median in front of the visitor center (bring a lawn chair or blanket). If it is rainy, it will take place indoors in the visitor center theater.
