Stop by to meet the current Artist in Residence, Ken Fandell, and learn about Joshua Tree National Park’s place in his larger project exploring landscape and abstraction.
From the Artist: “I am an artist, a professor and a Californian. I am making work that addresses the vast landscape and unique geological features of Joshua Tree. The works explore place, formalism and time, histories, iterative practice, and the intersection of the hand of the artist and role of the machine. Joshua Tree’s distinctive qualities are determining the project’s trajectory.”
