Description
The buildings that line Salem Harbor represent centuries of architectural evolution, the disparities between the working waterfront and those who benefited from the created wealth, and the variety of structural needs to maintain a thriving port city. This tour will introduce visitors to the wharves and buildings of the working waterfront in the Great Age of Sail and to the dwellings of the great merchants, ship captains, mariners, and widows who lived close by.
