Description
Join us for a special presentation from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Wildlife Specialist, Tom Gieder. Tom has been with USDA Wildlife Services since 2017. He holds a B.S from Penn State University in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. Prior to working for Wildlife Services, he worked for 12 years managing and researching various wildlife across the US. He currently works in collaboration with the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department, focusing on mitigating human-wildlife conflict. During this presentation, Tom will provide participants with information on how to recognize wildlife attractants around their properties, how to secure them, and the importance of keeping bears wild. He will also discuss USDA Wildlife Services’ role in combating human wildlife conflicts and other services that they provide to the public.
While all ages are welcome to attend, this workshop is best suited for adults.
