On August 14, 1945, as Japan announced their willingness to surrender, thousands of Oak Ridgers flocked to Jackson Square to celebrate the end of World War II. After four long years of fighting, many were overcome with emotion. On a special program marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the war, learn how everyday residents and Manhattan Project leadership reacted to Japan's announcement.
