The CCC comes to Hopewell Furnace!
Join us for National Park Week as the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) sets up camp for the day. From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, see how the CCC would have lived and worked during the restoration of Hopewell Furnace. Witness woodcutting, a historic cookstove, and an original CCC truck!
At 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, join a ranger for a guided tour of the furnace complex that brings history to life through the voices of the CCC men who worked here. Using their own newsletters, you’ll gain a unique perspective on the challenges, triumphs, and emotions they experienced.
