Description

Walk through the woods in the moonlight!

Join a ranger to walk the Longleaf Pine Trail at sunset. Observe the wonders of the night sky and watch the full moon rise over the forest. See the moon and other night sky objects up close in a telescope!

The hike is 1 mile roundtrip. Please bring a flashlight (red light preferred) for the return hike in the darkness.

Meet at the Big Thicket Visitor Center, 6102 FM 420, Kountze, TX 77625.
