Pride History Tour of Pioneer Square
A 45-minute, 1-mile walking tour around Pioneer Square. Come learn about Pioneer Square's (previously referred to as the "GayborHood") gay and lesbian scene between the years of 1898 through the 1970s. Hear about Hannah Banana, the Silver Slipper, the Submarine Bar, Steam Baths, Seattle's response to the HIV/AIDs epidemic and much more.
Tours meet in the park lobby at 1:30 PM. Topics and content will vary slightly by guide. Please note that the tour requires walking through downtown Seattle: walking surfaces will be uneven, traffic and noise are present, and temperatures can be hot. Please plan accordingly.
