 This program is free and open to the public.

Jesse McBride is an exciting and adventurous pianist and bandleader; the Tulane professor brings the legacies of jazz fathers Ellis Marsalis and Harold Battiste to his own thoughtful and forward-moving piano style and is committed to developing the next generation of jazz musicians. McBride and Next Generation perform around New Orleans, at WWOZ’s Piano Night, and at festivals, including headlining at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. He is on the Jazz Studies faculty at Tulane University, and teaches master classes across the city. He also founded and produces Tulane’s Jazz at the Rat performance series.
