Join park rangers outside of the Haleakalā Visitor Center (9,740 ft) to celebrate and explore the winter night sky. Visitors should dress warmly for cold, windy weather, and bring plenty of snacks and water. Red lights are recommended.
 
The program begins just after sunset, so there may be traffic at the summit area. Please allow plenty of extra time to enter the park and drive up the mountain. It is a 30-minute drive from the entrance station to the Haleakalā Visitor Center.
