Join Park Ranger Jon Manchester for part two of a two part Virtual Ranger Program on Facebook Live! In commemoration of the anniversary of the Siege of Fort Motte which took place from May 8-12 1781, we will be talking about the War for Independence here in South Carolina and how it affected the park landscape.
This evenings program will discuss the actions leading up to and during the little known but significant Siege of Fort Motte and it's impact on the American and British strategy in South Carolina, as well as the people living here, in 1781. We hope you will join us!
