Starr Tafoya Demonstrates Santa Clara Pottery
Starr Tafoya was born and raised in Santa Clara Pueblo. She learned from her mother, Jane Baca, how to make traditional Santa Clara red and blackware pottery. Starr demonstrates her creative process and then fires several items using traditional methods. Afterwards, she will have a few pieces for sale.
Join her on Saturday, August 31 on the plaza at the Mesa Verde National Park Visitor and Research Center.
