Join a park ranger for a guided hike on the Buffalo River Trail to the Steel Creek Overlook on Saturday, May 25, at 1:00 PM. This moderately strenuous hike is approximately 3 miles round-trip with 400 gradual feet of elevation gain and proximity to sheer cliff edges. Pets not permitted; not recommended for children under 8 years of age.

Your guide will lead you across Steel Creek (wet crossing) into the Ponca Wilderness and up to an incredible view of the Buffalo River Valley while inviting you to consider your role in wilderness preservation and outdoor ethics. Please bring drinking water, snacks, bug repellent, sunscreen, and suitable footwear for a rugged hiking trail and creek crossings.
