Join us on Saturday, July 12th and Celebrate Your Independence at Great Falls Tavern! Celebrate your individual self and sense of curiosity as you explore C&O Canal through guided hikes, activities, programs, and a volunteer clean-up!
Schedule of activities:
9:00 am - 4:00 pm: Flag folding and 'Create Your Own Flag' activity
10:00 am - 12:00 pm: 'Music On the Canal' program
10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Invasive species clean-up
10:00 am - 2:00 pm: Potomac River Safety with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary
10:00 am - 2:00 pm: Eagle program by Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail
11:00 am - 3:00 pm: 'Sit & Stitch' and 'B.A.R.K. Ranger programs
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Water Safety program
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: 'Hiking Etiquette 101' guided hike
