Hike of the Week: Graybeard Mountain Overlook

Join Parkway rangers for a moderate, 2-mile round-trip hike from Graybeard Mountain Overlook.  As we head north on the trail you will experience different forest types, vegetation change, and cooler temperatures with the elevation increase.  Here you will learn about the essentials of what to bring, what to leave behind, and how to use what you have to ensure a safe and successful backpacking adventure.    

Meet at the Graybeard Mountain overlook at Milepost 363.4, less than a mile north of the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center.  Bring water, wear good walking shoes, and be prepared for changeable weather.
