Pyrite Mine Hike

Meet a ranger at 11:00am at Parking Lot D on Scenic Drive in the park for a 2 hour hike. Explore the unique mining history of the park as you tour the remains of the Cabin Branch Pyrite Mine on this 2 mile guided hike. See the foundations of old mine buildings and cross a historic bridge over Quantico Creek! It is recommended to bring water and bug spray and wear comfortable hiking shoes on this mostly shaded forest hike.
